In this paper, firstly, it introduces basic concepts of the Petri nets. Secondly, it introduces the concurrency, clash, bumping and how it describes the linkages between the events. What´s more, it describes application of Petri nets in the material supply system. Finally, it takes a unit in particular stage material demand information processing, for example, modeling and analysis the situation to explain the Petri nets, which application in the material supply system.
