Abstract :
In this paper, a section database management system is introduced. This system can complete the design, analysis and management of sections by the intelligent method. It makes the CAD data and CAE data integrated together. The geometric information of sections is recorded by EXCEL technique. The mechanics properties of sections are calculated according to the different section and the shape of sections are optimized by the thickness optimization method, the proportion optimization method and the proportion vector optimization method. At last, the sections of a car are managed and a section is analyzed and optimized by this system.
