Abstract :
This paper presents the results from simulation tests of low voltage distribution network voltage control schemes. The voltage is controlled by the real and reactive power control of Distributed Generators (DG) and the on-load tap changer at the secondary substation. Besides the local control schemes, Coordinated Voltage Control (CVC) schemes capable of optimization were also tested. Simulation network model was constructed based on real network data and simulations were run using multiple sequences of load and production. The results confirm superiority of the CVC compared to local schemes, although some local schemes achieved also good results.
