  • Abstract
The present study is focusing on the newly developed recycling techniques. This paper proposes a novel process to handle recycling issue by the arc discharge of high voltage and high frequency. It can not only replace the original recycle process that smashes the disk up and then separates metal cladding material from the disk, but also can solve the problem of low speed waste disks treatment and reducing second pollution. This approach results in instant changing the metal cladding material temperature of the disk surface quickly. Different coefficient of expansion between plastics and metal cladding material can be stripped on disks surface. The physical treatment technique will be investigated the theoretically and experimentally. Also the fundamental mechanism of the separation of the deposition layers and the polymer substrate of the CD-R are revealed. The economical and environmental availability will be analyzed. The final object is creating an industrial application in the CD-R recycling to help easing out the global environmental stress.
