Abstract
This article presents the definition of the control law that concerns the active self levelling of a Citroen vehicle. The control law results from the analysis of suspension models based on the bond graph language. Firstly, the authors treat the analysis of the suspension system including the geometry of the suspension arm, the suspension hydraulic jack and the Citroen self levelling actuator. With this aim, the rear suspension and its self levelling actuator have been subject to various bond graph models validated during experiments on a one-wheel suspension frame. Finally, the authors determine an active self levelling control law using the previous models as predictive models. This law is based on the results of a Karnopp analysis. The final trials of the self levelling two degrees of freedom suspension are in accordance with the dimensional characteristics that are obtained from the predictive models
