Abstract :
An experimental results and suggested theoretical models for lateral relativistic electron beam creation by ultra intense p-polarized laser beam have been analyzed. The physical model for relativistic beam formation was suggested based on resonant excitation and amplification of surface plasmon polaritons (SPP) by electron plasma of electron plasma layer - vacuum boundary and drag electrons of layer by SPP.
