Abstract :
This paper present a numerical simulation study of bending loss in planar optical waveguides, at wavelengths around 1550 nm, using the Beam Propagation Method (BMP), for the purpose to reduce the physical size of photonic components and for the design of on-chip optical components for communication systems.
