Abstract :
The technique of high-speed network data stream capture has been a main topic of network research. This paper finds out some key technical problems that exist on high-speed network data stream capture and makes some improvements, based on analysis of previous research results. This paper designs and implements a Data Stream Capture System (DSCS) based on multi-queue network interface card (NIC) and multi-core processor which has improved system performance a lot by taking advantage of polling, multi-queue and raw device techniques. Test results show that the newly designed system is able to receive packets of 64Byte and 1024Byte, respectively at a rate of 694Mb/s and 930Mb/s. Compared with the current system, the capability of data stream capture is largely improved.
