  • Abstract
This work develops the operational procedures of distributed generation sources (DGSs) in a micro-grid. A micro-grid is a controllable small-scale power system comprised of distributed generation sources (DGSs), storage devices, controllers, and loads. The DGSs may be sustained energy sources or intermittent energy sources. A micro grid consists of different type of DGSs, and its operational procedures may differ. In this paper, two operational procedures of a micro-grid are presented. One is suitable for micro-grids comprised of only one sustained energy source, and the other is suitable for micro-grids comprised of one sustained energy source and one intermittent energy source. A sample system is adopted to examine the presented operational procedures via computer simulations. Some important simulation results are presented and discussed in this paper.
