Abstract
An example pilot knowledge based system, which elucidates the results of a simulation run with the world model GLOBUS, is presented. GLOBUS has been developed at the International Institute for Comparative Social Research-Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin. The developed system is an intelligent front end (IFE) and sits between the simulation package GLOBUS and the user. It explains and interprets the results from the package. This application points out that knowledge based systems may be particularly fruitful in the case of IFEs for existing simulation packages
