Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneur, and the Centralized Contractual Agent

Entrepreneur is the soul of entrepreneurial activity, and is a core issue of entrepreneurship research. Most of the existing literature investigate "who is the dominant entrepreneur" issue from the individual characteristics and natural resources perspective. This paper is based on the enterprise contractual arrangements perspective, reviews and comparatively analyzes the “capital hires labor” and “labor hires capital” two views of centralized contractual agent and enterprise contractual arrangements. Combining the entrepreneurial resources theory and critical resources theory to research deeply, this paper points out that the entrepreneur is naturally borne from the owner of the critical resources in the enterprise.
