Abstract :
The load places a very important role in power system stability. It greatly affects the system stability assessment results of a power system to a large extent. This paper focuses on the realization of aggregate load area model (ALAM) analysis. The ALAM model is based on the output of a power system wide area measurement system (WAMS). The parameter identifiability regarding the ALAM is studied in this paper. The case study of a simple power system shows that by using the proposed two step optimal ALAM load modeling method, the determined parameters of the ALAM model is much accurate and the ALAM model can perform sufficiently accuracy to the real load area.
