Abstract :
The road capacity can be increased when utilizing the real-time traffic information uploaded by the floating cars. In symmetrical two-route scenario, the influence of the percentage of floating cars (Pflt) on the performance of MVFS and CCFS is analyzed. Simulation results show that Pflt has little influence on the performance of MVFS, while has great influence on the performance of CCFS. The performance of CCFS will decrease along with the decrease of Pflt, and will get worse than that of MVFS gradually, which means that different traffic guidance strategies should be adopted to guarantee the guidance performance according to the percentage of floating cars.
