Abstract :
In this paper we discuss on adaptive caching techniques in peer-to-peer network. We have made an extensive survey on the different adaptive caching techniques in peer-to-peer network like Squirrel, Tuxedo and PeerOLAP. Vast improvement can be made in the caching of the peer-to-peer network. We observed that combining and interchanging different methods used in different techniques results in a better performance. In this paper we discussed about the pros and cons of different techniques and proposed a solution to build a caching technique to make the performance better.
