Abstract :
Constant tension control of tensioner is a key technique in the process of pipelaying in the deep sea. According to the control requirements, constant tension control method for tensioner is proposed that combines strategy of set point zone, fuzzy self-adaptive algorithm and modified integral method. Experiments were done on the prototype of 15 tons motor driven tensioner. Experiment results show that the proposed control strategy assure tensioner works well with quick response, good robustness and constant tension of pipelaying.
