This paper presents the architecture and performance of a DSP Audio Processor IC which is based around dual 24-bit DSP cores delivering 100 MIPS of processing power and is controlled by an integrated 8-bit microprocessor. The design is noteworthy both for its degree of integration and for its level of programmability
