Abstract :
This paper presents the design of an RF CMOS differential bandpass amplifier using a recently proposed CMOS differential active inductor, for use in applications around 900 MHz. The amplifier employs a differential transconductor plus active tuned load to realise amplification and frequency selection simultaneously. The architecture employs tuneable compensation techniques that reduce phase error due to additional device parasitics, thus extending the usable frequency range of the circuit closer to the ft of the technology. The centre-frequency, gain and bandwidth of the bandpass amplifier are independently tuneable. Simulation results using device parameters from the AMS 0.8 μm CMOS process are presented
