Abstract :
This paper first provides an introduction to the engineering education systems in Canada and Spain with an emphasis on power engineering within either Electrical Engineering (Canada) or Industrial Engineering (Spain). Furthermore, the paper provides some thoughts on future directions of these programs, both in terms of signals from industry and initiatives from governments.
