Abstract :
By conducting a questionnaire survey, from the viewpoint of Human Factors, we examined drivers´ inner factors which cause dangerous driving behaviors. In the survey, each driver answered a cognitive information processing flowchart of his/her driving behaviors when entering a non-signalized intersection. Concretely, they answered when and where they confirm the existence of crossing cars, how they operate the accelerator, the brake pedal and so on. We extracted 15 inner factors that make deviations from desirable driving behavior and revealed the relationships between these inner factors and eight elements of driving behavior. Finally, we constructed a fundamental driver model including these inner factors.
