Abstract :
Image registration is a premise of many image analysis and computer vision methods. In this paper, we introduce a registration approach using second-order central moment and Hough transform. This approach first estimate the rotation by using the second-order central moment in a low resolution image, then calculate the exact rotation by using Hough transform in the original resolution image to get the transformation matrix. This approach avoids the low speed, and keeps the advantages like high precision and robust of the stander Hough transform. Experiment result shows that our approach can deal with online problems and a good result applied in a online detection system of cigarette cases.
