Abstract
This presentation describes an overview of the California CRR market in general and the CRR allocation process in particular and the major SFT model characteristics and requirements that need to be met in order to support an LSE in CRR allocation and auction processes. It also covers other important factors of the CRR allocation and procurement process including long-term LMP predictions and they can be used in the CRR allocation process. Emphasis will be placed in the methodologies that are needed to support the CRR valuation and procurement process. Finally, it presents and analyzes the results related to the CRR valuations and procurement from the 2008 CAISO market simulation using a full network model (FNM) that is the same with the FNM the CAISO is using for the clearing of the CRR markets.
