Abstract :
We address the problem of target tracking, from the measurements made on a field of passive sonars activated by an active sonar (multistatic network). We first recall the principle of classic tracking approaches in the specific context of distributed sensors measuring ranges, Doppler or azimuth, including recent improvements leading to simultaneous tracking of a target and calibration of the sensors field. Next, we introduce the latest improvements of a recently introduced approach in target tracking and target motion analysis, which is based on nondeterministic modelling of the target evolution. This method, based on hidden Markov modelling, leads to multiple and manoeuvring target tracking, with few hypotheses. Simulation results are given for the two kinds of algorithms
