Abstract
Applications of joint detection/estimation filter (JDEF) to multisensor data fusion, such as multiradar data fusion and FLIR/LADAR data fusion, are introduced in this paper. The JDEF has two main components: the minimum mean square error estimator followed by a Bayesian detector. For multi-radar data fusion, the JDEF offers high resolution target detection and accurate parameter estimation. For FLIR/LADAR data fusion, the JDEF provides accurate target segmentation and target position. The experimental results in both applications are presented and discussed
