  • Abstract
Arrays of two or four GPS (Global Positioning System) antennas mounted on a piece of conformal cylinder have been simulated using data from radiation patterns of basic radiating elements. The radiation patterns of the GPS antenna were used to calculate iso-gain plots with N=2 and N=4. In the case of N=2, percentages of coverage of 24.5, 83.9, 98.7, and 99.4% have been obtained for the same gains of 0, -5, -12, and -15 dBi/ISO, respectively. In the case of N=4, percentages of coverage of 73.8, 99.2, 100, and 100% have been obtained for the same gains. Such numerical values have been validated for metallic cylinder radii between 1 and 2 meters.<>
