Abstract :
The authors propose some array configurations, applicable to optically fed arrays, which remove the necessity of complicated RF switching circuitry (namely, switches and circulators) and thus reduce the cost of such arrays. Rigorous full-wave analyses based on the method of moments in the spectral domain were used to analyze these configurations. The subsequent impedance behavior, scan performances, beam efficiencies, and other related characteristics are presented.<>
