Abstract :
A wideband multi-sleeve dipole antenna for mobile communications applications was proposed with compact dimensions. The proposed antenna can cover GSM/DCS/WCDMA/CDMA2000/T D-SCDMA/ WLNA (2.4-2.48GHz) with VSWR less than 1.5 and better radiation characteristic. The band of multi-sleeve dipole antenna can be controllable. The impedance bandwidth and the radiation pattern are measured and analyzed. The mechanism and the reactance compensation method are also discussed. The measured peak gain is 2.25dBi at upper band and 1.8dBi at lower band, respectively.
