Abstract :
A new encryption algorithm which combined the process of video compression with encryption based on hyper-chaos system was put forward in the paper for safety and real-time transmission of video stream. Chaotic sequences of hyper-chaotic map were used to encrypt DC, AC and motion vector coefficients during the compressing of all frames. The experimental result shows that there is no rule among the cipher-texts; they are completely different from the original frames. Algorithm analyses indicate that it can satisfy the real-time requirement and possess high safety.
