Abstract :
A modified IFIR-FRM structure is developed by utilizing cyclotomic polynomial prefilters as an interpolator in the IFIR filter. It offers significant savings in the number of arithmetic operations. We show, by means of an example, that the proposed method yields additional savings of 36% and 31%, respectively, in terms of the number of multipliers and adders compared to the original frequency-response masking approach
