Abstract :
An edge detection algorithm that combines an ant colony optimization (ACO) and statistical estimation is presented in this paper. The pheromone which can steer the movement of ant is decided by the information of statistical estimation of the pixel´s circular neighborhood. The superior performances are shown in the experimental results.
