Abstract :
The main advantages sought for in the industrial development of the PS 200 new HV/MV substation are recalled. After a description of the new technology chosen for the substation, the authors describe the compartmented HV module and highlight the strong points of the new PS 200 HV/MV substation: reduction of overall size, costs, site delivery and assembly times; increase in substation availability, and operating safety; and ease of operation, maintenance, and integration into the environment. To enhance the environment and reduce the cost of the indoor HV/MV substation, a new generation of compact air insulated factory-built substations is proposed: the PS 200 substation
