Abstract :
This paper looks at decisions about distribution switchgear maintenance intervals and the concepts used to evaluate them. As the methods developed are essentially looking at value added by maintenance, the obvious question is could similar techniques be used to evaluate value added by other types of investment such as replacement scenarios?
