Abstract
The intention of this paper is to explain how a large petrochemical company such as BP might approach the issue of upgrading existing electrical infrastructure on an onshore site. It is hoped that an understanding of the demands placed on BP´s electrical engineers by BP Businesses may assist switchgear suppliers and manufacturers in tailoring their products and services
