Abstract
Emerges in the sophistication of modern mobile devices encourages re-evaluations of mobile application design principles that were ideal only several years ago. As well, several mobile application design principles for facilitating collaboration are proposed. This paper then presents a system design that addresses all the discussed principles, creating a virtual meeting area in which participants can effectively communicate and exchange ideas in a real-time manner with location-aware aspects. Athabasca University began the development of such a system called iCollaborator.
