Abstract :
E-Science is a series of science activities under informationalized environment. Experiment, modeling and computing are three important methods in nowadays science research. Using wireless transmission technique to improve experiment; using real-time simulating and online modeling to improve modeling; using high performance parallel computing to improve computing and integrating all these techniques on a collaboration environment make the scientists research in an informationalized way. This work is an implementation of e-Science. In this article, we mainly discuss the Wireless transmission method, which is used in the experiment for transmitting character data and video data from weather stations and interested area in real time. In our experiment, two types were used. (1) We developed a system which can browse wireless transmission character data and video data by Web and store them into database automatically. (2) We purchase a set of wireless sensor networks called eKO produced by Crossbow which can also browse observed data by Web.
