Abstract :
The input impedance of the spherical-annular microstrip antenna is computed and compared with the input impedance of the planar structure when the sphere radius is large. The antenna is modeled as a transmission line joining the radiating apertures, which are characterized by wall admittances. The radiation pattern of the spherical circular antenna is calculated numerically using a computer code suitable for bodies of revolution. The radiation patterns of this antenna when the radius of the sphere is 10 cm are shown.<>
