Abstract :
A extended lattice model of traffic flow is proposed with the consideration of relative current based on the lattice model of optimal traffic current presented by Xue. We get the linear stability condition through the linear stability analysis, which shows that the extended model can improve the stability of traffic flow. Numerical simulation further illustrates that the proposed model can enhance the stability of traffic flow.
