This paper examines the impact of four Chinese societal cultural dimensions on firms´ innovativeness in entrepreneurship. The findings are based on surveys of 207 firms in China. The results indicate that firms´ levels of power distance and uncertainty avoidance are negatively related to firms´ innovative propensity. Further, empirical results demonstrate that individualism is positively related to firms´ innovativeness. Different from the findings proposed by studies in Western countries, masculinity does not affect firms´ innovativeness in Chinese economic context. Contributions, managerial implications, limitations are also discussed.
