Abstract :
Air Data Computers used in airplanes have to be calibrated, the calibration can be performed by test equipment in wind tunnels [2], or during flights. When these new systems are calibrated during flight, an airplane fuselage affects the pressure measurements. A trailing bomb probe isn´t affected by pressure disturbances. A precise calibration of the airplane avionics systems requires knowledge about the relative position and orientation of the trailing bomb probe.
