Abstract :
Presents a collection of slides covering the following topics: flexible flight level changes necessary for safe, comfortable and efficient oceanic operations; congestion and lack of radar coverage can limit opportunities for FL transitions; lack of radar coverage requires large in trail separation margins, typically 80 nm longitudinal, as little as 1000 ft vertical. At times may be hard to find gaps that are large enough for flight level transitions.
