Abstract :
An important value differentiator for all companies is excellence in innovation. Knowledge workers who are able to think outside the box and to operate in flexible ways are critical drivers of innovation. Traditional organizational structures, business processes, and the supporting technology systems hamper knowledge workers by being restrictive, one-dimensional, and inefficient. A governing framework and culture that supports fluid, multi-role, multi-mode, dynamic interactions between people and systems empowers knowledge workers. It liberates them from constraining organizational structures and eliminates distracting, mundane tasks. A role-based, interaction-oriented process management framework is an enabling solution that facilitates innovation.
