  • Abstract
    The lack of independent innovation ability is regarded as the main shortage of product platform. To enhance the ability of product platform innovation and upgrading under mass-customization (MC) environment, the concept of product platform life cycle (PPLC) was put forward. The theoretical system of product platform innovation and evolution was presented, including basic theoretical research, implementation method, enabling technology. Then some key problems, such as the product platform planning, the platform stability analysis, the innovation problems recognition and platform innovation process in the process of product platform innovation and evolution were discussed.
