  • Abstract
    This paper studies the design of host computer software for cloud particle measurement system. It includes data communication, data storage, RLE (Run Length Encoding) decompression, system environment variables and image display of particle data. The difficulties are the software architecture design and tri-channel data communication realization. The software has been implemented with the state machine and the queuing mechanism of LabVIEW. The tri-channel data communication uses three RS-422 ports. The high speed channel of tri-channel data communication, i.e. two-dimension particle data, uses synchronous format of HDLC (High-level Data Link Control). The test results show that the software meets the system requirements completely. This software has been registered software copyright, registered number is 2011SR058815.
