Abstract :
The importance of islanding grids is steadily growing. Especially, the use of self-commutated power-electronic devices in medium- and high-voltage DC transmission applications and the huge number of decentralized generators e.g. wind turbines and solar panels speeds up this process. In such grid topologies, only low short-circuit power is available. Therefore, a need for advanced inverter-control schemes emerges. These control schemes have to be able to handle dynamic load changes with magnitudes in the same scale as the rated power. In this paper, an advanced control of an inverter feeding such a grid is presented.
