Abstract :
In the past decades, there are many mining-depend city emerged in Chinese urban system due to their fast urbanization and industrialization. Due to the exhaustibility of natural resources, these mining-dependent cities might face the sustainable development in its urban economical and social development. In this paper, it is to study the economy growth coupling between the mining-dependent city and urban clusters including the mining city. Taken the Zhongyuan urban clusters and mining city Jiaozuo as example, the economy growth cointegration and Granger causality test are conducted. The results indicated that they are integrated and have a dual causality interaction among mining city and urban clusters.
