Abstract :
Spatial-temporal characteristics analysis of an isolated on-ramp is carried out by using a new cellular automation model, which could describe the synchronized traffic flow. Simulation results show that five different kind of spatial-temporal patterns can be found in this model induced by an isolated on-ramp. A statistical research of flux and velocity for each patterns are investigated. All simulation results are consistent with the empirical data, which means that the new model could reproduce the empirical data very well.
