Abstract
The authors develop a method for modeling circular waveguides to minimize the effects of staircasing on the mode cutoff frequencies. A simple method for modeling circular cylinders is developed by examining the feed current for several radiating circular waveguide problems and by analyzing the numerical staircasing effects on the mode cutoff frequencies. The modeling method obtained is simple with no computational overhead.<>
