Study on the application of influencing factors of R&D input and knowledge production function

By using the panel data of Chinese eastern, central and western places from 2000-2005, from the supply and demand aspects which influence research and development (R&D) input, and in the form of knowledge production function, this paper analyzed the decisive influence of supply factors and demand factors of R&D input on independent innovation and the economy of scale of R&D knowledge function. The result showed that there exist difference of R&D input and output of Chinese different regions. It showed that the economic development level has obvious impact on innovation capability. This paper also found that industrial structure greatly influenced independent innovation.
