Abstract :
The article presents a procedure that supports modeling and validation of genotype knowledge, used in conjunction with phenotype information to support medical decision making. The proposed procedure is based on inductive learning and classification. A concrete case study, related to periodontal disease manifestation and diagnosis is employed to support rationale of suggested procedure. The case study draws from the Periodontitis Data Warehouse of the Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). Specific results are presented and concluding remarks draw the roadmap for procedure generalization.
