Abstract :
The properties of magnetostatic waves in a ferrite film when the wave vector makes an arbitrary angle with the externally applied magnetic field are presented. A rigorous frequency-dependent method is used to compute the total energy flux and the group velocity. The comparison of the result with the magnetostatic approximation clarifies the deficiency of using the static approximation. The unique feature of space-frequency selection of signals is also addressed.<>
