Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to describe the significance of the Capability Maturity Model Integration framework for software development (CMMI-DEV) tailoring to several process requirements, through the use of software process improvement (SPI) methodologies. These methodologies take into account the factors that affect their implementation strategies and adapt CMMI-DEV to particular process circumstances.
